The Community Food Network works to build a healthier community by feeding individuals & families – body, mind, and spirit cultivating a sense of belonging among its members.
Community Unites in the Garden is an initiative to help bring fresh produce into the community. Dedicated volunteers plant, tend and harvest a variety of produce. It then is distributed to members of our community including single parents, senior citizens, and families.
Our school supply closet ensures students have the supplies that will make them successful in the classroom. This alleviates the financial burden on the teachers so they can focus on what is most important – providing children
with a quality education.
Here at Community Unites, we partner with other local organizations to pack backpacks to ensure every child in need has free groceries for weekends and school breaks. The backpack food includes healthy, easy-to-prepare food for kid-friendly meals.
Christmas in Clio was created by Community Unites to provide a unique shopping experience to local families and seniors who are in financial need this holiday season. It provides an opportunity to personally select new gifts for their children. Families and seniors also receive food and necessities to relieve some
of the pressures of the holidays.
Upward™ Sports is more than just a game,
it’s developing a child’s ability to thrive and succeed in all they do – mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially. No one is turned away due to financial hardship.
Community Unites, mission is to work alongside the residents of our community
to help increase the quality of life. We focus on developing initiatives
based on specific needs. Our model replaces handouts and charity
with meaningful involvement, collaboration, and relationships.
